Nutrition Calculators

I have added a page of nutrition calculators to PeaCounter.com.

Readers of my blog might be particularly interested in the Body Mass Index, Ideal Body Weight, and vitamin D calculators.

If you have any conversions you use regularly and would like to see there, please let me know here.

    Really nice work!

Would not be right to add a warning that BMI is just a very weak indicator of what you call “Ideal Body Weight”? It does not take a body stature or muscles/fat ratio in consideration.

Also, just a suggestion, in Europe we use comma (,) instead of dot (.) in digits as a decimal mark. It would be nice if the calculator could handle it.

BMR calculator would be also very helpful, but I guess it is not a conversion tool 😐

    You biggest fan,
    John

    John,

    I added some language:

“BMI does not take into account muscle mass or bone size, so these ideal body weights can only be used as a rough estimate.”

I’ll have to look into the commas. And I do plan to add energy needs calculators in the near future.
